Some of your customershear your checkout.

A blind customer shops with a screen reader, which reads the page out loud. If a button has no name, the customer hears the word button and nothing else. Scan your own shop for free and see what is there.

Free, no account. It checks one page at a time, so run it on your home page first, then a product page. A checkout that needs items in the cart may not load for the scanner.

What it sounds like

A purchase, read out loud

These are common faults, written out by us. They are an illustration, not a recording of any particular shop.

On screenHeard
A product photo of a blue linen shirtImage. D S C underscore 0 4 1 2 dot J P G.
A drop-down for choosing a sizeButton. Collapsed.
A cart icon with a 2 beside itLink.
A field labelled Card number in pale grey placeholder textEdit text. Blank.
A red outline around a field the customer got wrongNothing at all.
A large Pay now buttonButton.

Each of these has a small fix in the markup. Most of them are invisible to anyone who looks at the page instead of listening to it, which is why they last.

The rule

What applies to a shop

European Union
The European Accessibility Act has been in force since 28 June 2025. Selling to consumers online is one of the services it covers, and that includes shops based elsewhere that sell into the EU.
Who is exempt
A service provider with fewer than 10 people and either annual turnover or a balance sheet total of no more than EUR 2 million. Count both before you rely on it, and check what your country's law says.
United States
Customers have brought suits against online retailers under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Courts do not all read it the same way for websites, so ask counsel what it means for you.
What it does not tell you
Whether any of this applies to your shop, or how your shop stands against it. A scan measures pages. It does not give a legal opinion, and neither do we.

This is general information, not legal advice. Read more about the European Accessibility Act

The package

The three pages that make a sale

Home, product and checkout: the walk every customer takes. One fixed price, one order, no audit to sit through first.

  1. 1

    You send three addresses

Your home page, one product page and your checkout, with a test order or access if the checkout needs one.

  2. 2

    We write the fixes

Corrected code in your own markup, with where each piece goes and which WCAG criterion it answers. A person checks it before it reaches you.

  3. 3

You or your developer put them in

Each fix goes into your theme or template. If your shop runs on one template per page type, the fix carries to every page that uses it.

  4. 4

We scan the same pages again

You get the new result at its own address, with its date, beside the one from before. That is your proof of what changed.

Fixed price
$190

Paid once. We confirm the three pages with you before work starts.

Order the fix

What it does not cover: other page types, and anything hosted by your payment provider, which only the provider can change. We tell you when a fault sits there. Automated checks also cannot catch everything, so a clean re-scan is a measurement and not a certificate.

Questions

What shop owners ask

Does a clean scan mean my shop is compliant?
No. A scan catches the faults a machine can measure, and some faults take a person using the page to find. It is a good first look and a useful record, not a legal conclusion.
My shop runs on a hosted platform. Can this still be fixed?
Usually most of it, because many faults live in the theme and in the text you add, such as image descriptions. Parts the platform or the payment provider controls have to be raised with them, and we name those parts.
Am I too small for the European Accessibility Act to apply?
Maybe. Service providers with fewer than 10 people and no more than EUR 2 million in annual turnover or balance sheet total are exempt. If you are close to that line, ask an adviser. The customers using a screen reader are there either way.
Would an accessibility widget do the same job?
A widget sits on top of the page and cannot reach the markup underneath. A button with no name in your theme stays that way. The package changes the markup itself.
Do I have to fix everything the scan finds?
No. Seeing the suggested fix for a finding is free, and you can use it yourself. The package is for owners who would rather have all three pages done at once.
